2021 MAZDA CX-5 Trim Levels
Is a quality compact SUV exactly what you need for your regular commutes? If you call Willow Grove, Willow Manor, or Glenside home, Mazda of Abington would like to help you out in your search for your next vehicle.
The Mazda CX-5 certainly has what it takes to enhance any drive. To provide you with a clear picture of what this fine sport utility vehicle has to offer, we’ve compiled all of its trim levels here, along with brief descriptions of each one. Go ahead and take a look at all seven to find out which one fits in the best with your lifestyle.
The Mazda CX-5 Sport is the base trim. It gets things started by offering comprehensive entertainment opportunities with the Mazda Connect™ Infotainment System. Included here is integration with Pandora® internet radio and HD Radio™. This infotainment system also has a 10.25-inch touchscreen and allows you to use your favorite smartphone apps via Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™.
It likely comes as no surprise that you can also expect the Mazda CX-5 Sport to shine in the performance department. This is made possible by a Skyactiv®-G 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that supplies you with a full-bodied output of 187 horsepower.
Up next is the Mazda CX-5 Touring. This one proves to be quite convenient with features like LED Headlights with Auto-leveling, rear privacy glass, dual-zone automatic climate control that comes with a pollen filter to ensure that all occupants are breathing in the best possible air, and Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry and Start System that makes it easier for everyone to enter the vehicle at night.
The Touring also has the Mazda Connect™ Infotainment System and enjoys many of the same features. Should the unexpected happen and you get into an accident, your Mazda CX-5 has an E911 automatic emergency notification. Your Mazda CX-5 will automatically call 911 from a connected smartphone so you can get help even if you can’t reach your phone.
The Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition is a trim that will turn heads on the street. The Carbon Edition has a Polymetal Gray Metallic exterior paint combined with 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a black metallic finish. The style doesn’t end at the exterior of this luxury SUV, though.
In the cabin, you can choose between available black or red leather seats. You’ll also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red accent stitching. With this trim, you can enjoy a fun drive and a stylish vehicle inside and out.
Not only will you get the stylish looks of this trim, but the Carbon Edition even comes with a power sliding-glass moonroof with one-touch-open feature and an interior sunshade. You and your passengers can open the moonroof and enjoy the sun and wind throughout the cabin or get a view of the sky as you hit the open road.
CARBON EDITION TURBO
The Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo takes the Carbon Edition up a notch. You get the first Carbon Edition style, but now you can mix it with a standard Skyactiv®-G 2.5L Dynamic Pressure Turbo engine with 250 horsepower.
You have a choice of front-wheel drive or available i-Activ AWD® with Off-road Traction Assist. The i-Activ AWD® feature provides better handling and traction when you’re driving on slippery roads or other difficult road conditions.
If you go with the standard front-wheel drive, you’ll get an impressive fuel economy of an EPA-estimated 23 city/28 highway MPG.1
The Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring continues this theme of convenience via such features as the heated power side mirrors that provide you with clear visibility no matter what the weather is doing outside and the Rear Power Liftgate that includes programmable height adjustment to ensure that it’s never out of reach.
This trim level also takes things up a notch when it comes to entertainment. The Bose® 10-speaker surround sound system demonstrates this with Centerpoint® 2 and AudioPilot® 2 to ensure that everyone inside the cabin gets a memorable listening experience.
To help you see better at night or on those rainy days, the Grand Touring has LED headlights with High Beam Control, LED fog lights, and LED combination taillights. You’ll be easier to see and see better.
GRAND TOURING RESERVE
With the automatic power folding side mirrors, heated steering wheel, and windshield wiper de-icer that you’ll find in the Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve, you can be confident that this trim will have your back no matter the situation or weather condition.
It also steps things up under the hood with a Skyactiv®-G 2.5L Dynamic Pressure Turbo 4-cylinder engine that produces as much as 250 horsepower. Despite its power, you won’t sacrifice fuel economy. The Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve gets an EPA-estimated 22 city/27 highway MPG.1
To help you keep your eyes on the road, the Grand Touring Reserve has a standard Windshield-projected Active Driving Display. This display projects important information onto your windshield like speed, navigation, and more so you can focus on the road.
Sophisticated style is one of the first things you’re sure to notice about the Mazda CX-5 Signature. The Caturra Brown Nappa leather-trimmed seats and genuine layered wood trim are just two of the standouts in this regard.
Not only will you get comfortable Nappa leather-trimmed seats, but you’ll also get a standard 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support. You can find that comfortable seat position and even have your Mazda CX-5 remember it with 2-position memory. This means if someone else drives your Mazda CX-5, they can save their perfect driving position, too.
The Signature also has some helpful features for driving, like the standard Traffic Sign Recognition System. If you missed the last one, no problem. Your Mazda CX-5 can tell you the speed limit based on the last sign you saw.
